Contents & Index from the Help command on the menu bar is an alternative way to get help.

To get help using this method,
Click Help on the

Contents Tab
This screen is like the table of contents of a book listing different help topics and subtopics.

Click the Contents Tab, if necessary.

Double Click "Introduction to Microsoft Access 97" The "Help Topics: Microsoft Access 97" window appears with a series of topics.

A book icon indicates subtopics exist.

A question mark icon represents a subtopic.

Double Click "Databases: What they are, and how they work" subtopic

The text for this subtopic appears on your screen.

Click

Access returns you to the "Help Topics: Microsoft Access 97" window.

Now you try it! Switch to Access.
